Great Wood Rush – Luzula sylvatica

Found in well drained areas of woods all over the British Isles. With tussocks of glossy long narrow leaves, and thin stems of tiny chestnut-brown flowers this makes a fine feature in a woodland area.  Using stolons it spreads well, liking more acid conditions.
