Hyacinthus orientalis

£5.50£9.90

This is the original form of the Hyacinth introduced to Europe in the 16th Century, which parented the myriad of cultivars we see today. Enjoying a moist soil and a good cold dormancy it is well adapted to life here. With 12” spikes of soft blue bell like flowers in March, attracting the first emerging bees with their fragrance, it persists year after year in our garden.
