Ornithogalum nutans

Comes from the moist mountainous environments in the Balkan Mountains and colonising fields of the region. Sometimes referred to as Nodding Star of Bethlehem, silvery bell flowers with a green stripe on the outside of the petals, hang on one side of the stem. Flowering in April into May under 12″ high, it is particularly striking in a densely planted bunch.
