Solomon’s Seal (Whorled) – Polygonatum verticillatum (autumn)

£3.50

In April/May the rhizomes of this intriguing plant produce 2-3 ft stems with whorls of narrow leaves and clusters of greenish white flowers on each axil. More common in the wild in European mountain forests, it is a British native too but now restricted to woods in Northumbria and Southern Scotland.
