Tulipa kaufmanniana Ancilla


In April you can wander through meadows of Tulipa kaufmanniana in the foothills of the Tien Shan in Kazakhstan. This species now has a whole section in the tulip world, but Ancilla most closely resembles the original plant. Wide green foliage with 10” stems offering pink and cream in the classic tulip shape which opens in a white star with a golden centre. AGM
